Becoming ("we," "our," or "the app") is a self-leadership app. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Account data: If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials through Firebase Authentication. Google sign-in users share their name and profile photo as provided by Google.
App data: Your anchors, focus sessions, stuck flows, beliefs, commitments, and coaching notes are stored in Firebase Firestore, linked to your account. This data is yours — it powers the app's features.
Guest mode: If you use the app without an account, all data stays on your device in local storage. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Error tracking: We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports and performance data. This helps us fix bugs. No personal content is included in error reports.
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with security rules that ensure only you can read and write your own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app's Settings screen. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our servers. For full instructions, visit usebecoming.app/delete-account.
Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.
Not therapy or medical advice: This app is not a substitute for therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or professional mental health services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services.
Limitation of liability: The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Live for Yourself Consulting and its affiliates are not responsible for any outcomes, decisions, or actions you take based on your use of the app. You use the app at your own risk.
Security: While we take reasonable measures to protect your data (HTTPS, Firebase security rules, encrypted authentication), no system is 100% secure. We are not responsible for unauthorized access, data breaches, or security incidents beyond our reasonable control.
Becoming is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and notify users in the app.
